A heart kissed by hope(spring)

A heart kissed by hope(spring)

A Poem by Gee
"

Musing on the changing seasons of yesteryear

"
At last a sign that Winter's through
a songbird on a bough
that greets the lazy rising sun
as only it knows how,
with song that pierces morning air
to hang in fading mist
the farm hand smiles his spirits raised
his heart by hope now kissed,
a hope that lighter, longer days
be dry and winds be stilled
and backs be eased by warming rays
as fields are slowly tilled.

A lovely poem about the coming of Spring that rhymes really well and captures the mood and feeling of hopeful new beginnings that always seem to be attached to the season.
Anything that brings warm rays to a back frozen stiff in Winter is a welcome respite.

Dear Gee
I love the rhyme....it;s beautiful and the words are too...I think we are all happy that winter is through...we can take a deep breath and warm ourselves in the bright sunshine, just as the farmer should do....take walks, bike, and just enjoy!!!

Hi Gee,
Just saw your poem and replies, thought was not seeing your replies in site, then i just browsed your page, just came ot know your fracture of shoulder, how is your shoulder now, hope you are taking good care of yourself.
I just would like to massage your shoulder in case you need, hope gets better your pain, but don't come out of bed until soreness heals.
Was thinking i feel myself talking to you and everyone in family.

with love,
Jessy Jacob

Thank you for your kind words JJ :)
I'm fine, a wee bit sore but worse things happen at sea
Good morning and all the pleasantries that go along with them... except I just read about your accident and want to ask your darlings if I could forward a few peeled grapes and a bunch of primroses: So VERY sorry to read about your shoulder, a fracture darned gablimey hurt; , did it with neck of femur a few years ago. (don't you get fed up with people going into long details about own agonies!!! )

Take care, do what told, eat the grapes before your ladies eat them, smell the flowers, think of England!

By the way, your pain has produced some lovely words.. truly

Spring is certainly bursting out all over, but snow forecast for tonight means winter is trying to hang on as long as it can..
The sunshine has been warm of late and a surprise beautiful rainbow today .... i think Mother Nature is toying with us.

I wish someone had told me that this morning Gee, before i put on my long Johns and six other layers, before wrapping myself in waterproofs... that ten seconds of sunlight almost barbecued me!
And yes i know, but i dont trusrlt weatger reports as they all say different things depending on what channel you watch or which newspaper you read, but werent they just talking about snowmaggedon?
No doubt ill wear a t shirt tomorrow and be found under 18 feet of snow!

Gonna be warm here too, with zero chance of rain... so best get my canoe ready! 😀
Oh to get into it with full movement, could winter be a farmer’s sabbatical? Much thought induced by poem🙏🏻🕊
