Simple words on summers arrival

Gone now at last springs sobbing sky
and the misty shrouds of morn',
gone now drear grey and barren days
and the silent waking dawn,
as summer rouses from her sleep
and paints the world anew,
serenaded by an avian choir
'neath a cloudless sky of blue.
Oh how this life a better place
with colour, warmth and song,
so Gaia please this season grant
license to linger on.

If only summer would linger on lol. I like it. It can get too hot at times, but it's a fun season. Any reason for the apostrophe to signify plural? Never seen that before, so kinda caught me like 🤨. It might be better further down with "world" more than "sky" lol. But otherwise a really great piece, buddy! Well done!

It is still spring here but I would venture to say that our springs are very similar to some people's summer. Nicely rhymed Gee. This one read smoothly and felt good.

Wow! A breathtaking write so finely inked, Gee. I love how you so poetically describe Spring and the arrival of Summer, the dawn chorus and cloudless blue skies. I so agree that the world is a better place when filled with the colours, warmth and songs of Summer. Compared with Winter, it's like living in a different world. I pray Gaia gives permission to Summer to linger for as long as possible so we can all be uplifted and feel a little happier. It is still spring here but it has been touched by summers sun here and there. I love the beautiful colors of spring flower and the trees now have fully bloomed and there leaves are lush and full. We have had a lot of rainy days.
