Hey diddle diddle
the priest had a fiddle
the organist shielded her eyes
whilst choir boys feared
each foot step that neared
and the sound of unzipping flies.
Love the way you presented this as a nursery rhyme, it's quite apt, isn't it? Difficult subject matter, but kudos to you for saying it in this concise and hard hitting write.

Just something daft for the weekend ma'am :)
Thank you
So much truth in this modern day nursery rhyme. Sadly it doesn’t raise an eyebrow, but it did raise a knowing smile with me Gee. It happens. You have conveyed this so well and with sharp brevity. Have a great weekend. Hope you are all well.

Hi Christine, thanks for bothering with this daft one :)

You know, I like a bit of silly now and again. We all need to lighten up :)
I feel like I'm not supposed to laugh, but I did. There's so much sass in this poem, and rightfully so. Well done, and straight to the point. And as much as I try to stay away from "hot button" issues like the one stated within the poem, I can't help but give this two huge thumbs up for putting such an issue into a modern day nursery rhyme.
