Pretty liarsA Poem by GeeSimple words on a false dawn
I asked the swaying daffodils
by whom they had been sent I asked if spring their courier they nodded in assent. I asked the Apple blossom same then snowdrops, bluebells too they all said spring their courier and that winter now was through. So I took them at their floral word believing all they said be true but woke to find a world of white "Oh what pretty liars you" © 2022 GeeAuthor's Note
