He will be...

He will be...

A Poem by Gee
"

Memories

"
He will be forever summer,
a warm, floral scented breeze,
blue skies and single clouds,
clouds that drift slowly, silently, to a place unknown,
perhaps to where he now rests, peacefully,
with those that went before...

He will be an aching heart and tears,
a pain that only time can heal,
a chasm to be filled with memories,
memories of childhood days,
of sibling love, laughter,
of all that is good in life,
in mankind.

He will be stories and smiles,
a warm glow,
dreams,
loved,
loved,
loved...

and forever missed.

You're welcome!
The skilled use of imagery in this one makes it doubly poignant. It communicates deep grief, but not despair. That all of us could have such a beautiful eulogy. Very well done.

What beautiful, bittersweet words that carry us over memories and countless seasons. Yes... forever missed. My dear uncle passed just days ago, so I might read this with different eyes, and know he'll be missed even though we were separated by many miles for the past few years. Stories and smiles... always...

Cheers Jung, you hit the nail on the head.
A lovely remembrance
Unfortunately, the older we get the more often it seems to take place
Best wishes

'forever summers' and 'forever missed' - a permanent place in the heart is the least we can do for those who leave us...
Such lovely and touching sentiments in this piece. An almost haunting quality in your last lines. ..

Aye, that I realized. ..
You're welcome, Gee. :)
A deeply personal write of loss that so many can relate to, for those cherished lost and the hope that they will be forever at peace and kept alive by those who mourn their passing.
Your words are a beautiful reflection on what they meant to you.
Superb.
