He will be forever summer,
a warm, floral scented breeze,
blue skies and single clouds,
clouds that drift slowly, silently, to a place unknown,
perhaps to where he now rests, peacefully,
with those that went before...
He will be an aching heart and tears,
a pain that only time can heal,
a chasm to be filled with memories,
memories of childhood days,
of sibling love, laughter,
of all that is good in life,
in mankind.
He will be stories and smiles,
a warm glow,
dreams,
loved,
loved,
loved...
I just reread this poem and the formatting leads the reader by layering the images. Truly a beautiful poem.

This is an awesome tribute to some friend/loved one who's gone on to the next party! Nice way to show how the one no longer kicking (stanza 1) is the one to be envied. In contrast, we who are left behind are the ones with howling refrains of pain (stanza 2). One thing we can all agree upon (stanza 3), there's a much-needed angel fluttering close-by as we make our way without him/her (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You're a delightful man. If we get to be at the end, I will look for you.
Very touching poem Gee, your heart was evident in every word. I felt the pain and courage in your words. They certainly engaged my own memories and saddened me. beautiful words for a special person. Well done my friend.
Peace, Richie b.
Beautiful work Gee- really moving, and believe me mate, I'm thinking of you- I know how this one feels.

I'm made up!...just don't want the bubble to burst!
Beautiful poem about a beautiful relationship. A relationship which touches the core of your heart and your soul and similarly your poem touches the hearts of the readers. I loved the analogy in the very first line,
He will be forever summer,
a warm, floral scented breeze,
blue skies and single clouds,
This poem touched my heart Gee. Beautifully and meaningly written tribute. Your words make it sadly clear how much you love and miss him- your brother I think. “A chasm to be filled with memories”- yes. The words you repeat so emotionally will fly to him in heaven. God bless you both.
I really enjoy your use of repetition here. It moves the poem at a slow but rhythmic pace. Your imagery is beautiful and you make use of every sense that you can to engage the reader. You don't just want us to read, you want us to feel. This is a wonderful poem, thank you so much for sharing it.
Devoted family man and lover of life.
Simply written, easily understood "stuff" for those without code breaking skills. You will NEVER need Google to understand me:)
