Turkey, toys, boys and trouble.

Turkey, toys, boys and trouble.

A Poem by Gee
"

Christmas day

"
This year she hopes that......

Granny has her nappy on
grandad doesn't fart,
uncle Tommy comes alone
and not with some old tart.
Mum lays off the vodka 'til
pudding's served and eaten,
dad doesn't get the hump
when at every game he's beaten.
Next door neighbours Fred and Maude
come fully dressed, not nude,
as last year fido bit his knob
mistaking it as food.
Little brother Bobby Ray
breaks down the closet door,
revealing that he likes the girls
but likes the boys much more.
And finally when crackers pulled
she hopes to get the toy,
( as these she's bought from Ann Summers )
as she still ain't got a boy !!

Ha... that made me chuckle in a wholesome way.

There is a genuine humanity to your writing that I find very endearing.

Thank you kindly. Like the new pic.
Hope all is well with you David
Great lively fun! You know how to go after my heart, with uninhibited rhyming ridiculousness . . . but very true to life, there are even a few of my pet peeves here, such as bad losers at board games! You really know how to pick out the really sparkling butt-kicking aspects of life that make us laugh & cry! Hope your holidays are starting out with good health & lots of love. I love your profile pic (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

All is well here. Uma abraço.
You have to wonder how this christmas dinner lark caught on so much, when anyone a mile off can see the disaster waiting to happen. Your excellent tale here reads like a documentary of what will happen, which is why I am beinh the grinch this year and not giving in to blackmail and going home, instead having the day I want instead. Its my xmas present to me. Bah humbug :)
If only everyone had your humour about it, it might be worth the free dinner. But they dont. Great write Sir.

Great fun Gee and Christmas Day when familes get together can certainly bring surprises. You reminded me of the good old London knees up that my Nan and Grandad would have on Christmas evening. The extended family would party, eat, drink, sing, dance, do the conga in the street and dress up. Sometimes us kids would fall asleep under the kitchen table. My Nan would put her decorations up in November and they stayed up until March. Those were the days :)) My Christmas days are far more sophisticated, but not nearly as much fun. Have a good Sunday.Gee.
