Life is but a book of songs

Life is but a book of songs

A Poem by Gee
"

Another oldie dusted off....

"
Our lives are but a book of songs
the fates they are our voice,
serenading us into false belief
that our destiny is our choice.

If man is not the captain of his own destiny then it behooves one to ask why he labors so in the improvement of his fortunes. If the final catechism equals the same result for all, why labor at all? But I like the idea of life being a book of songs. With all the songs I've written and performed it seems generally applicable to my own life. I enjoyed the read, F.

I love the title line . . . perfectly describes my approach to poetry . . . just honoring my experiences into snippets of rhyme! The destiny part has never been one of my delusions . . . never ever felt like I had a choice *sigh!* (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
