At gathered pace our passing lives.

At gathered pace our passing lives.

A Poem by Gee
"

How quickly life seems to pass us by.

"
Life travels now at gathered pace
the present oh so fleeting,
memories and yesterday's
tomorrows now are greeting.

Experience a tardy friend
brings maudling regrets,
each dawning day of "might've beens"
and "too late now" sun sets.

The tick and tock of father time
relentless ne'er will wait,
as ruefully we reminisce
with sadness contemplate.

Life travels now at gathered pace
attire oft' sombre worn,
to farewell say by silent graves
as passing life we mourn.

Cheers, have accepted the request, and welcome back I believe.
I found myself both enjoying and relating to this piece quite a bit. Well written, solid rhyme scheme, and
I really thought the title was both clever and appropriate for this powerful piece. Very poignant and emotion piece. Well done!

You're very welcome!
You have got all the things that a poet needs and your poem has got all the things that a perfectly written poem needs. Very good indeed. You have expressed the power of time and the way life goes on to meet an end in a lovely manner. Loved the rhyme. Keep writing.

You are welcome ^_^
Yes, time seems to pass faster as we age. One birthday hops into another and those we used to celebrate with disappear one by one. We have to cherish every day and enjoy life to the fullest. Your words are well written and the rhyming is superb. Lydi**

I love this subject. There never seems to be enough time in the day. The title itself is poetic. Very well done
