At gathered pace our passing lives.

At gathered pace our passing lives.

A Poem by Gee
"

How quickly life seems to pass us by.

"
Life travels now at gathered pace
the present oh so fleeting,
memories and yesterday's
tomorrows now are greeting.

Experience a tardy friend
brings maudling regrets,
each dawning day of "might've beens"
and "too late now" sun sets.

The tick and tock of father time
relentless ne'er will wait,
as ruefully we reminisce
with sadness contemplate.

Life travels now at gathered pace
attire oft' sombre worn,
to farewell say by silent graves
as passing life we mourn.

Remember as kids when summer seemed to last forever. How I wish for those days. Life does seem to be speedy by, more rapidly so the last few years. Your words are spot on with great meter. Loved this one! :) Julie
