Jacks cold nose(winter)

Jacks cold nose(winter)

A Poem by Gee
"

A winter morning

"
Now all is touched by Jacks cold nose,
dusted white the neat hedgerows,
where spiders webs hang iced in place,
like doilies spun from finest lace.

Whilst trees arthritic, stark and bare
reach for a warmth no longer there,
from a fading sun in wintery skies,
as the last of Autumn falls and dies.

White dust...nose--brings back a vaguely bad memory.
Must be the death of summer.
Highly creative piece, Gee.

Thanks again.
He is pressing his nose against my windows this evening. We are expecting a light snowfall in my part of the world tomorrow. Many of your lines will come to life in my neighborhood just before morning light.

I enjoyed your rhythms and rhymes in this piece. Your winter imagery was also delightful. The lines about the spiderwebs covered in ice were my favorites.

You are very kind, Gee. I'm glad I stopped by to read you tonight.
"Whilst trees,arthritic,stark and bare,
reach for a warmth no longer there. " - really great imagery Gee - Im looking at a bunch of such trees now as I read this = I dont think I'll ever lok at them quite the same until they get their 'clothes' on in Spring - love how you did that - made me look at something so familiar in a new light.
Thoroughly enjoyed this...

most welcome Gee!
THis is good; you use some nice imagry. But I think the phrase "Jack's cold nose" sounds rather like a dog. I would say: "Now all lies under Jack's cold touch..."
