Change of Pace

Change of Pace

A Poem by Gedalya
"

A short poem that was written in early August 2013.

"
Oh, why did we lose interest so soon,
After touching down upon the moon?
Will we ever walk the sands of mars,
Transverse the Keiper Belt; reach the stars?
Bring down the iron curtain
And in it’s place
Let questions be raised.
No revolt, no resolve; man stands still.
Man must go to the mountain!
So that new discoveries
Be praised.
No answers, no truths: Man lacks the will.
Oh, how I wish to see a new world,
Maybe we shall find our cosmic kin,
If not, then we should make a new kind-
Of being, one not transgressed by sin.
Bring down the iron curtain
And in it’s place
Let questions be raised.
Let’s revolt, let’s resolve; be not still!
Man must go to the mountain!
So that new discoveries
Be praised.
Find answers, Find truths: Man Find the will!

The search must go on. The quest must never end. For when the journey ends, life ends. But where there is a will there is a way. A very motivational and interesting write!

Incredible poem that reflects patriotism in a revolutionary way. I admire how you have used the term "bring down the iron curtain" to let the American civilization progress sensationally. There's also a classic touch to this poem that impresses me. The rhyming is in order and use of uncommon terminology has been shown skilfully, e.g. Keiper Belt, cosmic kin etc. That's an interesting read for me!
