Fault in my Judgement

By Danielle Baker

I felt the cool air slide passed,

As I rocked in my seat,

Going foward and backward had been fun,

And I didn't see the danger in swaying very fast,

The air was brisk and playful,

Very much like me,

But suddenly that all began to sway,

And I felt the cheer begin to dull,

I blinked and heard a shout,

I was on the floor, calling out a roar,

The vision became twisted and fuzzy,

My eyes swayed, and became filled with boiling doubt,

Like a feather through the air,

I was flying out of the room,

My head was numb,

Numb from all the pain, that was too much for me to bare,

My head soon began to click in,

I was in the ER,

On a solid white bed,

Filled with blood spilling from my knee and chin,

Then next, all I saw BLACK,

A putrid faze of sleep,

I only awoke to a soft sound,

That seemed to wake me on a clack!

This was a decade ago,

And now all was said and done,

But I'll still remeber the fault,

That had almost put me on a deathly crow,

Back in the days when we were younger.....
Vivid and good

Innocence personified! I don't think I have to say anything else. Great expression.
