Blowin' in the Wind (a wind blown away)

Blowin' in the Wind (a wind blown away)

A Poem by Gary H

life flies in the breeze
letters of love
find themselves muddled
elov
oevl
voel
hoping to land
seeking peace

angels fight devils
devils fight back

war floods in like rain
hurricanes of torture
frighten us all

in a sky of reply
clouds of doubt float by
decisions incomplete
hidden by money
leave sad reflections

thinking back to Bob
singing his song -
answers are here

'blowin' in the wind'

now blown past
in a whirlwind of time

leaving a jangly melody
memories of hope,
freedom, peace
where a breath of air
could once have saved us
now we are too late

judgement day beckons......

This was really awesome, man. It truly reminded me of my past poem, 'Two Ghosts of the Mind.' Battling the thoughts of evil and angelic; going in and out of things, and trying to be stable in the rest of the process; hoping one day it will all just go away, and that you have finally won the huge war. Everything intertwines and comes together in this piece. Beautiful job, i must say, as well as the picture, too!

Playing with the spelling of "love," brilliant. And I love the wistful sense of longing in this poem - very Dylon of you.

Nice writ.

I disagree with the feature review, I'm glad you chose not to change the letters in love to left alignment. I may not have understood the message in the mixed letters. I thought it was beautiful- poetry and style. ; )

WOAH.... deep. You sucked me in and altered my state of mind right on the first line. A wonderful write indeed. It's very sweeping.. if that makes sense. You do sway a bit back and forth during the read, well, I do at least, and it's a great sensation. Dripping between hope and damnation, it's quite the work of art.
Excellent piece, Gary.

Two great lines:

in a sky of reply

leaving a jangly melody

Keep up the pen Gary.

it's damning in the most lyrical way! this poem puts bob dylan's work in the context of today's world and it's a dark foreboding re-interpretation. it leaves me feeling constrained which i think was your intention. i love poems that affect/provoke me and this did that. great work!
