Bursting Light

Bursting Light

A Poem by Gary H

Light of my life bursts through bright morning sky
Touching my soul, so desperate to fly
Cottonbud clouds shroud past regrets
Holding thumbs for when we first met

Soft breeze of passion sees love swimming in the air
Hands express pure gentleness running through your hair
Mischevious golden waves of inviting amber rays
Forever on fire, we dance, pulsate and sway

Smouldering skin, sensuous shoulders burn
Heat of the day says we never learn
Eyes move in places never caught in the shade
Love breathes forever in a breeze that never fades

Sometimes sad raindrops explode on the pavement
Watching them land sparkling with wry amusement
Destiny will save us, locked within stares
Flavours explode incandesecent with flair

Fancies and musings of shimmering moonbeams
Together at night in adoring dreams

Man, you've got it bad. Should I send over Dolly for a wee visit? Stephanie, even? Aw, shucks, Gary, the romance is oozing from your fingers now!!!! It's incredibly sickening, I mean, adorable. ; ) Your words lift me up to a fantasy realm....and make me want to linger there all day. Excellent work.

Awww.... I just read Nat's piece as well. I must say you all's relationship is almost sickening it is so sweet. LOL Just kidding. I love your ability to convey the purity of yourself among your wonderful words and imagery. I really enjoyed this and I think that you guys did an amazing job on these pieces.

Well Done!!!!!!

The picture you paint with your words is much better than the one in the photograph itself.
The piece draws me in, making me feel the same emotions - the bittersweet seperation.
Excellent piece.
Well done!

I like the smouldering skin, but it is this verse that i enjoyed the most

Sometimes sad raindrops explode on the pavement
Watching them land sparkling with wry amusement
Destiny will save us, locked within stares
Flavours explode incandesecent with flair

I can just see the raindrops crashing and splashing but then the verse moves on to more emotional explosions and the wryness is rapidly put behind you.

"Cottonbud clouds shroud past regrets" ----- love that!

Gary, I love this poem....the imagery is excellent, and when I scrolled down and saw the pic, I swear I could feel warmth from it, which is much needed here in New England right now!

Very nice :-)
