Lady of my Dreams

The words of a young man that thinks he is the perfect man for his idea of a perfect woman

When i wake up every morning i think of you

But sometimes I wish I didnt and I cant help it

The thought of your smile and voice bring me joy

A warmth that is welcome to start my day

 

I can feel myself give up on stopping my thoughts

But i'm not sure anymore whether i should

So many battles with emotions I've fought

This time i will let nature dictate the mood

 

Certainly feels like a lost cause at times

But your nature gives me a glimmer of hope

I realise that the timing might be my crime

And I believe if you cant then maybe we,can cope

 

I really never thought this would happen

But now that it has I wont ask too much

Just a little care and ear when feelings dampen

And I too will be there to push when you slouch

 

I want to be there for the smiles and delights

For it is they that make life worthwhile

Its no fluke that you ended up in my sight

I've admired u as an inspiration for a  while

 

I know i'm more sensitive than u may know

But I ask to be guided when it gets stupid

While allowing the bump in my chest to glow

My world was quiet and dying and now u shook it

 

First it was your spirit then it was your smile

Then it was your beauty and now your story

If every girl was a step you would be a mile

Your guile and simplicity covers your name in glory

 

Its hard not to admire how you stay so real

When surrounded by sugar coated aloe

Finding a person like that is almost unreal

Knowing you must be as beautiful as a carol

 

I wish I would know you the way I want to

But like tape u cant see the inner side of the reel

I know I may not be the best or nearly as cool

But I wish I was as invisible as you make me feel
