Tears of a Frozen Paradise

Tears of a Frozen Paradise

A Poem by Onatah

Watch them, fear them, never touch them;
The screaming crystals reaching backwards
The timeless rivers flow anointed.
Confused, misguided, helpless believers;
Chasing never ending gospels.
And while time yields not a strict obedience
Till that crimson flower blossoms
And the horizon paints a living fire.

You cradle the reader in passion, and I'm particularly drawn to the multiple connotations... I say, it's quite amazing that such power can merge from so few words...

'Till that crimson flower blooms
And the horizon paints a living fire'

I see so much more than icicles, whether or not deliberate, your tapestry is selective and a brilliant means of conveying fire and ice in its most symbolic form...

nice, besides a mispelling here and there, did not detract from the powerful statement. a mindeset in mythology/reality, a scope of belief, awsome job

You are a talented writer. Power in every sentence. Like a Dante's story. Every word had a purpose. A excellent short poem.

Almost quite like a metaphoric description of mind altering substances. Or that is just my imagination running away with me. Splendid read. Hope to encounter more of your writing.

Fantastic in its elusive and ambiguous description.. your very creative in the narrative and potent in your stabs at word pictures.. I liked it much..
