Unreal

Unreal

A Poem by Gaurav

The world and its pretentiousness

Full of melancholic gestures

Dipped in sugar-coated smiles

And root less greetings

Sit and observe

Those mediocre performances

Crafted by complicated members

Of families with shallow bond

They go on a trip

To satisfy a single dream

And click laughing pictures

With a finger

That don’t touch a finger anymore

A sea of endless fake appreciations

And the universe of hugs between people,

People who shout and laugh aloud

celebrating festivals of capitalism

are we alone?

yes, but that is fine

are we lonely?

Yes, but that is sad
