REFLECTION

REFLECTION

A Poem by Gatlianne

REFLECTION

My knee is shiny and smooth

Like a bald man's head

I can see the reflection of the fan in it

As those my skin became a mirror

In my sleep

Reflecting the world

Instead of deflecting it

As I've so often tried

With shields and walls

And facades of

Who shall I be for you?

And in that moment of lying

On the cool bed

Beneath the turning fan

In the reflection of my knee

I saw the world

And knew it was ok

For the world to see me
