My Empty Palms

My Empty Palms

A Poem by Gatlianne

MY EMPTY PALMS

As I taste of peach along my tongue

My heart beats an irregular rhythm come

To send my soul to soaring heights

Somewhere between truth and (dis)belief

In my haze I search to know

Mixed with truths that I do not

If it is the One that’s come

Time and time will tell again

For if it One or if it not

The Universe knows much more

than I

So I have washed my hands but good

For empty palms rise to truth

And my empty palms flow free from doubt

In my world misunderstood
