My Rainbow, AloneA Poem by Michael Jewel DavisWhen the colors of life fade to darkness . . .
My Rainbow, Alone
Is it sadness when the rain outside falls only when you are awake? Is it madness when the thunder seems to call your name? Is it forgiveness if the sun pushes away the clouds? Is it meaningless to hide away in a shroud? Is it my time when I see the rainbow far below? Is it my life when my feelings fail to show? Is it evil of me to to wish others to fail just as I have? Is it destruction in my heart torn into halves? Is it the end when the clouds block out the sun? Is it the end when my lonely rainbow color's are done . . . Is it overcome with darkness? Or just the blackening of my heartlessness? Only my lonely rainbow knows the truth, And I am alone in the dark, Without a clue what to do. -Gath
