Simple Things Turned ComplicatedA Poem by ConnorWrote this a while back :)
[Verse 1]
Are you proud of what you've done
Having ruined what was once fun And I guess that there must be some fault in me Some subtle signs I did not see Now only the stars will know, that what we had was gold Till the day you packed your bags, and made the long way home [Bridge] And home, isn't where his heart is, anymore The hardest punches never left me feeling this sore [Chorus] Now, every thing's lost under the sun Are you proud of what you've done Now, the road ahead is crystal clear You are nowhere close to near The simplest things turned complicated 'Cause someone forgot the tag, that said we were outdated [Verse 2] You can leave but don't dare run When the spinning stops, I will come And I guess that there must be some fault in you Blind to the signs that I loved you You gave me your cold shoulder, said your heart was sold And then you packed your bags, and took the long way home [Bridge 2] And home, isn't where his heart is, anymore A sudden emptiness, left me begging for more [Chorus x2]
