deafens
inside out
through ear
drums
i wasn't able to
comprehend
the i love you's
being thrown at me
i'd have dodged
if they weren't
so quickened
and gaining with speed
and if i hadn't
desired
to get smashed
again
i apologize for
all the lies
i've spewed
onto the
bulletin news
truth is
i'd been looking
for him
all these years
but perhaps
my lonliness
convinced me of
my readiness
to give in
but he forced my
eyes
to look into his
as he pumped
subliminal whispers
through my veins
and i easily became
the prey
as he nibbles
on naughty bits
but still stops to
tell me he
loves me
unlike anyone
before him
and after
and on a night with
dizzy heads
and fumbling limbs
promises were made
and i begin to believe
this stand still
is life;
realism
portrayed
