Tolerance

Tolerance

A Poem by Gastroc.

he kisses me

because i let

him

but never enough

and so i stop

him

trying to control emotions

by putting the brain to

rest

and the

rest

of the body

to work

because hands can grab

hair

and mouths can bite

necks

but air-

air to my lungs breathes

life

to butterflies

and this is not

their day

for freedom

pulling away does

nothing

although i try to say

it does

I still feel as he

pulls away

I'm falling in love

again

this time i pray

he leaves stays

Ok this says a lot to me
"and this is not
their day
for freedom"

You're not just talking about butterflies. This is about you not letting your heart fly away into his. Fly away into the darkness of love which is too ambiguous and scary for your heart to be set free in. It is not the right day, you have the power to give bugs beautiful wings as you have the power to love like no one could, but you're refraining. Or trying to. lol
