Vanity

Vanity

A Poem by Gastroc.

i'm on borrowed time
and
borrowed blood
so i'll make this short
it's up to you
to
douse it in sweet
i'm a little high on
myself
because i have to
be
i demend attention
during my
remembrances
for which i want you,
silently,
a part of
don't you ever wish
you were me?
no-
not even slightly?
let me show you
how
to smile
in this black and white
photo
and you can ask for
an
autograph
maybe i'll grant it
but let me snap
snap snap
back into reality
and realize
i'm nothing-
nothing less than
great
that is

Haha, yes. The fun of loving yourself. I often get, well, put down for being in love w/ myself. Sure we all have our insecurities, but knowing your beautiful (in your own personal idea of beauty no I don't mean Seventeen magazine cover s**t) is so important. I love my face and body as much as I can. So when people say they don't want to be you, their lying. They wish to be as happy as you. Vain... That is right up there in the description of me. It would go: Selfish, Powerful, Vain. Watch us get farther than those who aren't in love w/ themselves. I hope this was meant to be empowering instead of poking fun at vainness. lol
