Stag

Stag

A Poem by Gastroc.

sitting,
stunned
because the one
I
didn't love
moves on
to
the plan B
c, and/or
D
He
picks
his backup
and suddenly I
become
B
(Z)
and she-
the best friend-
doesn't need
me
much anymore
feeling slightly
used
as i used
to do
to others
sad.
for the first time
not de-
pressed
no anxious tears
here
just sad.
sullenly sad.
so i sing my
lullabies
to listening ears
of a man
(taken)
no, no
there's no chance
there
al-
one.
but this time i
won't
say it proud
no proclaimation
now
merely factual
information
i don't want to
love/
i need to be
loved
I Am Alone.

I enjoyed the over all writing style. Also the mood and pace of this were nicely in proportion, setting off the normal slowness of a sad style with the short lines and one word usage. Very good.
