god in lowercase

A Poem by Gastroc.
"

"

the good for nothing
said one thing
beneficial
for something
he is Him
to you;
disassociate the two
without disconnecting
you
from the equation
you loved Him
because you loved
the man
who loved Him
as well,
maybe it was never
true
really true
separate to
analyze
emotions in counterparts
think
and logically
pick apart
remember the
mantra-
it's acceptable
to hate the human
but God forbid you
forbid the God

It's funny I read this just how I feel you wanted it read before I read your little tip at the top about reading it fast. Funny. My fav fast reading moment was;
"true
really true
separate to
analyze"
Damn! Anyway to me as an Atheist this really stuck well. Your religious convictions aren't clear here, but one thing is obvious, you're mad and have some questions. You're talking about thinking logically and picking these old ideas apart. I think that's great. I like the emphasis on "Him". Personally I feel your mocking "God" by the whole capitalizing something that is made up of what ifs and pressured aimed mantra's. Very nice job, my interpretation may not have been your intent, but that's what ya got out of me.

P.S. thanks for your review on "I do". Not a lot of people understand situations like that. They think "aw how sad you don't really love each other", but the reality is, is it's hard to be who we are and love at the drop of a hat. It's easier being cold. That's what that poem is about. Thanks for understanding.

Aaaaaah I'm doing a bit of late night reading and this is great! One of my favourites from you so far.
The long lesson of realising what someone really is after idolising them so long? Either way I think you've done marvelously here. WHOOOP!

Nicely done and nicly put together. Something clever that, when read fast as you requested, was a bit confusing a first, but interesting to read.
"it's acceptable
to hate the human
but God forbid you
forbid the God"
This is excelent perhaps because "God forbid!" is such an over-used phrase. Here, however, you did it in a clever way. Very nicely done!
