For as long as I could remember I was always alone, I always had to fend for myself. I learned at a very young age that the only person I could rely on was myself. My parents abandoned me when I was young I can't really remember them. I have the vaguest memory of seeing a sullen look on my parents face. If you thought that my life was all uphill after that then you'd be mistaken. Most of my childhood was spent stealing or begging to get food, sleeping on the streets or convincing some very caring family to let me spend the night. Those tricks got old as I grew though families weren't as welcoming to a dirty looking teen boy I started relying more on stealing than on begging it just loses it's affect after awhile. That brings me to where I am now almost 18 living on the streets with no chance of my life changing. Or that's what I thought.
Ugh. I drag myself out of bed that was probably the best sleep I've had in awhile I had finally "worked" enough money to afford a room for the night. I had to leave fast though the last person had left some food and I may have "borrowed" it. All I knew is that I had to leave before they came back looking for it. I collected all the clothes that I had which wasn't much, just a few plain t-shirts and some pairs of jeans. I packed them all away in a old backpack that I had been given when I was a kid, it was surprisingly pretty big and durable. I started leaving the room I had no idea that this would be the last time in a long time that I'd see a normal room.
As I was leaving the motel I immediately knew that something was off. I noticed a man in a white suit just standing outside staring blankly. Seeing as I had basically been a thief my whole life I knew that white suits were expensive meaning this guy had money and I knew I wanted some of it. I casually walk behind him slipping my hand into his back pocket and taking his wallet and continued to walk on my way. Once I was a few blocks away I decided to check out how much I managed to get but to my disappointment there wasn't any money in it. Honestly there was nothing in it, it appeared to be completely save for one slip of paper with a number. I let out a sigh of disappointment and say to myself "Well this was a complete bust. I might be able to sell the wallet though make a quick buck, better than nothing." I put the piece of paper in my pocket mostly dismissing it and then pocket the wallet and head on my way. But, just as I turn the next corner I feel something hit the back of my head and it all goes black.
