The Lady Of Summer

The Lady Of Summer

A Poem by Gary McDonald

A turbulent wind of the unforgiving Summer
this lady lying in the arms of River's mistress
flowing ribbons of sepia tone, cling daringly to her shoulders
as her eye's voice is, I'm sure, a home to my soul
singing for only her kin to hear beyond the clouds
reply comes with a titian spear set to illuminate
and so it does radiate the valleys of her cheeks
topped with a thousand passionate rose petals.

Your words bring alive such emotion and wondrous, vibrant colours! What beautiful expressions through the force and flow of the world. You have painted such power with your summer's lady...

This poem is strong, yet fragile, soft. It reminds
me of maybe, a old folktale abou the lady, a story
long old told to those of all ages.

Good worK!
