I Do Love You MotherA Poem by Gary McDonald
I do love you mother, dearest mummy
so when that brother says the foulest words not a peep in his support shall you hear from me no ma'am, not I, I feel the way only a true son could you want the best for me I know you do tough love is never your approach is it mum you watch over me when I'm struck I'll with flu and sit with me when I have a dodgy tum I hold your hand outside, I just don't care my friends may laugh and point and stare but for me mum, your the one whose always there just as I for you mum, our love is forever fair no matter how old I get, I'll always love you
because mum, I love the way you taught me to. © 2009 Gary McDonaldAuthor's Note
