I Could Say This, But I Won'tA Poem by Gary McDonald
I could say your eye is a leaf
that falls from the branch, but flies in the wind I could say this, but I won't. As no words can carry fair weight to purge the emptiness from my soul you will only ever hear me say, I love you. It may be that you need me to show you or even just to tell you every day these words are all I say, I love you. The chocolate syrup dripping from your eyes swims to your smile's side, to taste you I could say this, but I won't For all the days you're by my side and all the nights of starry skies I shall only ever say, I love you in every way. © 2009 Gary McDonaldReviews
