I Don't Want To Move On

I Don't Want To Move On

A Poem by Gary McDonald

She is the Earth I walk to find her
the tear that floods my soul
loving her was hard, missing is torture.

My pillow has lost my Insomnia's cure
nights have become a desolate land of loss
devoid of light, low on air, I'm falling
feeling the wind punch my face
drying all these tears, mending my wounds.

I'm still searching, built from eternal hope
she will rest upon my shoulder, this night.
