Those Tender Eyes

Those Tender Eyes

A Poem by Gary McDonald
"

Put simply, the two most incredibly, ridiculously beautiful eyes i have ever seen. But i lost them.

"
If words could show the tenderness in your eyes
I would write for days at heaven's face
where clandestine pools of brown do bathe me
and a smile of artistic simplicity guides me
by hand or finger I draw the shape of your cheek
the house for a rose I dare never keep
my truth is, words are to weak to tell you
that your face is for the lucky to marvel
whilst one such as I must suffer without you.
