The Kiss Of Life

The Kiss Of Life

A Poem by Gary McDonald
"

A simple kiss that changed my life.

"
Once my lips met her cheek
I did awake, for now I see
that all of life and pain and loss
has left my thought to sole on her
fleeting, though it was divine
my eyes close in frozen time
for if truth be what death denies
then heaven's touch shall be defied.

Wow I really like this! I think it is powerful and not cheesy or overworked at all. Well done! I can also relate to that feeling and a writing is good when it can reach its readers.
