BlueA Chapter by Garrett LeathermanThe sky is blue and so is the ocean. However, it’s just a notion.
I miss the days when the sky was surely azure And when the sea was a sapphire pasture.
Oh, yes, I miss the days, I miss the days!
The sky is blue and so is the sea, But it’s all an illusion--(between you and me).
(Blue Part Two)
Blue is what you do when you don’t know what to do. Blue is when your gut tells you to trust it, But you know very well it can’t be trusted. You know very well that even your gut can’t be trusted! Blue, blue-blue blue, blue is what ya do.
Blue is what happens when there’s a kidnappin’ Of your innocence--when you wince at the thought That you once would have fought for the thought That the sky is blue and so is the sea--so ya thought. Blue, blue-blue blue, “blue” is what happens.
Blue blew my mind up too big--now behold the disaster. Blue blew my head up with illusions and now contusions Have crippled my gut with such crushing confusion That it has had no other choice but to come to the conclusion: Blue is the disaster--rather the disaster is azure. © 2021 Garrett LeathermanAuthor's Note
