Barely Moving On

Barely Moving On

A Poem by Garland
"

Another short little heartfelt song.

"
Verse 1: I'm barely waking up.
But yet my eyes are still sealed shut.
I'm barely moving on.
Yea, the love I knew is gone.
I'm fairly new to this.
Learning to walk alone.
Table just for one.
Licking my wounds till dawn.
I'm barely moving on..

Chorus: But I still see myself with somebody else.
Yea, I may be torn in two.
But that doesn't mean the other half is you.
Mmmmhhhhmmm..

Verse 2: The sky isn't as blue.
True, but the sun still shines through.
I don't feel quite like myself.
I still cry when I see lovers holding hands.
No I don't understand, why do I hurt when a man's made amends..
I look back now, and I see where I went wrong.
I should have held up my head, I should have held you instead.
Now I'm counting hearts as they fall, one by one.
Still stitching mine, counting each thread until I'm done.

Chorus: But I still see myself with somebody else.
Yea, I may be torn in two.
But that doesn't mean the other half is you.
Mmmmhhhhmmm..
But I still see you like it were yesterday..
