Papier-Mâché

Papier-Mâché

A Poem by Garland
"

My first entry on this website, so I hope you all enjoy. Remember, this is a SONG. I'm a song writer at heart, but you may see a few poems here and there. Either way, it's poetry all the same.

"
Verse 1: Are you stuck in the mud, do you dream of getting out?
Are your moods starry nights hid behind the angst of sullen clouds?
I've got a fever just to know where I stand.
But I'm passing with the times just like falling sand.
I can't move a muscle, i can barely budge.
All I do is dream, yea, that is my crutch.

Chorus: I can see the way you freeze at the slightest breeze.
And I can feel the way you break as the moments flee.
Come a little closer, and I'll let you breathe.
Fall into my hands as our promise bleeds..
Never understood why the moments flee..

Verse 2: Living in a city, or living well away.
No matter where I'm at, the feelings never change.
Could you paint me a picture?
Let's call it "Black and white".
Cause the colors that I'm seeing are an empty grey.
But the image you're portraying is the reason I stay..
Slowly, we're unfolding into papier-mâché.
Destined to be molded in a lone dismay..

Chorus: I can see the way you freeze at the slightest breeze.
And I can feel the way you break as the moments flee.
Come a little closer, and I'll let you breathe.
Fall into my hands as our promise bleeds..
Never understood why the moments flee..

i can imagine to listen to that song on the Radio, probably in the car, to turn it loud and trying to sing the line "I can see the way you freeze ...". It has something mysterious to me, the question "could you paint me a picture?". It seems to be easy and at the same time very hard, a bit risky. But who wants to stay stucked in the mud? So I'm sure she will try to paint. Hope you write more soon.
