War

the emotions that effect people when we are in war.

War:

 

War, the devil's up rising, is striking a voilent pose,

we are dragged in by its horroific trance.

This we must fight, or lose hope.

 

I takes it toll,

on families and loved ones.

How did we end up in this point,

how will we get out.

 

Sadness strikes everyone involved,

to hell with this.

To stop fighting we must fight,

for this is our problem.

 

We, the killing spawns,

brought this on ourself.

It will cautch up with us,

and we will pay the real price.

i like this poem, it has meaning, its deep. you could even go deeper into it, the emotions of it, the darkness of war & really create an even more intriguing poem.

This we must fight, or lose hope." i like the first stanza, the lines of a devil's up rising, very creative, imaginative. delve a little deeper, this could be even more powerful & dark. i like this one.

I think it would be nice if you added more concrete imagery. Something that the mind's eye can visualize and the senses can wrap around. It makes people feel more connected to the words. I agree with girldisappearing, I really like "War, the devil's rising, it strikes a violent pose..." because it personifies an abstract idea, war, and makes it palpable.
