I don't.

I don't.

A Poem by The_Gargoyle

I drank deep from the waters of life
Paced long among the trees of thought
For living I earned but strife
With thinking misery bought.
Instinct drove me further
Silence a spirit did crack
A thousand needles in my mind
As many daggers in my back.
Leaves withered as wind blew
Today I mourn the world I knew.
Lapped greedily at the sap of truth
Clawed desperate at the flesh of meaning
Fought stillness with nail and tooth
A shard of purpose never gleaning.
Longing dragged me upwards
Regret to the earth reclaimed
Innocence scorned and bruised
Soul torn and maimed.
Clouds gathered, shrouded, draped in dew
Today I mourn the world I knew.
