Oh So Close

Oh So Close

A Poem by George David Hope
"

Something I came up with when my ex was nearly killed at Christmas

"
                                                                            OH SO CLOSE
Why did you save her God?
Why couldn't you let the b***h just die?
You'd have made me oh so happy
So I'll ask again God why?
I don't ask for many things
And if do it's something small
Things like could my ex be hit by a train
Or squashed beneath a wall
I wish I'd have been there to see it
Her head bounce of every stair
Why couldn't you just have snapped her neck?
It's like you just don't care
She must have looked like a bouncing bomb
As she made her rapid decent
Until she landed at the bottom
All twisted, bruised and bent
It would have solved all my problems
The mortgage would have been paid
My daughter would be back home with me
While her headstone was being laid
Maybe it's something personal
Do you have an axe to grind?
I don't care how you kill her lord
I really do not mind
People say she has a guardian angel
But I'll tell you this no if's or buts
If I ever get to meet him
I'll kick him in his nuts
My Christmas would have been so perfect
The best I'd ever had
But I suppose there's always next year
For you to make me glad
