Betrayal

Betrayal

A Poem by George David Hope

                                                                           BETRAYAL
Two figures in the moonlight
Who he is he doesn't know
She said she was working late again
To his heart another fatal blow
She thinks he doesn't notice
The texts and silent calls
The quick trips to the bathroom
Secret conversations in the stalls
He couldn't have done anymore
To try and make her stay
He only hopes she'd realise
What she's thrown away

Wasn't sure if I should have extended it or just left it like this.

Gee
Perfectly sums up the breakdown of my brother in laws marriage, she was putting it about for years,
I like a bit of rhyming, don’t do so much these days.
Enjoyed reading this George
