BetrayalA Poem by George David Hope
BETRAYAL
Two figures in the moonlight Who he is he doesn't know She said she was working late again To his heart another fatal blow She thinks he doesn't notice The texts and silent calls The quick trips to the bathroom Secret conversations in the stalls He couldn't have done anymore To try and make her stay He only hopes she'd realise What she's thrown away
