Angels Up In HeavenA Poem by George David Hope
ALL THE ANGELS UP IN HEAVEN
All the angels up in heaven Our loved ones who've all passed on But as long as they are in our memories They're never really gone Think about times gone by The times that shaped your life The grandpa who taught you to ride The father watching you become a wife The grandmother who taught you to cook The mother who tucked you in Forgetting all your memories Surely adds up to be a sin Take a second to look at phot's Don't let them get covered in dust Show them to your little ones This certainly is a must Let them know of their heritage The people who've gone before What runs in their DNA Make sure they know the score Because pretty soon we'll all be memories Lying lifeless in a wooden box In a hole 6 foot deep Held down with earth and rocks So think of them so very often So you're never far apart Let them know while they're in heaven They're still down here within your heart
