Lonely Child

Lonely Child

A Poem by George David Hope

                                                                        LONELY CHILD
She stands in the school yard
In a corner all alone
Wishing she had a friend
Some one she could call her own
She really is so lonely
Just wanting a pal to play
She went over to some other girls once
But they told her "Go away"
No games of ring a rosie
No one to hold a rope
She really wants a BFF
But knows that there's no hope
No chance oi a sleep over
No telling stories in the dark
She's sure if they got to know her
They be bound to have a lark
It's not that she's a shy child
In fact she's not that bad
She's just a little quiet
But very very sad

Beautiful story, depicted well and feeling her sadness. Love hearing stories of people. Thank you for giving her voice George!
