The Fly Who Flew Too HighA Poem by George David Hope
THE FLY WHO FLEW TOO HIGH
There was once a little fly Who flew so high He thought he would die When he saw how high He started to cry He knew if he fell He'd surely die So with all of his might He tried to fly home His hair in his eyes And he hadn't a comb I hope I hope I get home soon But he flew so hard He flew to the moon Once on the moon He let out a fart And back down to earth He shot like a dart Now back at home He said with a smile I'm not going to fly For a very long while
