So Much Anger

So Much Anger

A Poem by George David Hope

                                                                         SO MUCH ANGER
So much anger, so much rage
Like a beast inside a cage
temper flaring awash with hate
Destroying oneself her only fate
Crockery smashed all over the place
This angel child now with devils face
On eggshells now do people walk
Afraid to look, scared to talk
Lost parents at wits end
Letters for help secretly penned
Foul mouth rantings fill the air
Why does their baby no longer care
Everyone's hurt in her game
It's not her fault, the worlds to blame
Fist marks left in the door
Walked out of class many times
Useless punishments like 100 lines
Isolation block she's sent most days
Why won't she change her wicked ways
Parents crying in the dark
Why does she bare the devils mark
Looks at people with such loathing
She's like a wolf in sheep's clothing
It's a mystery why she's so mad
Maybe deep down she's just so sad

Author's Note

George David Hope
I came up with this after I heard a story about one of my daughters friends trashing her dads car in a fit of anger
