I don't know why I did it

I don't know why I did it

A Poem by George David Hope

                                                              I DON'T KNOW WHY I DID IT
I don't know why i did it
She drove me to the edge
I took my ex on a cliff top walk
Then pushed her off the ledge
I could have called an ambulance
Or at least asked some one for help
But I got a lovely feeling
When I heard her scream and yelp
I watched her bounce as she did drop
Her bones all snapped and broke
I really couldn't help but laugh
Like it was the worlds best joke
As she lay on her back
All crumpled in the sand
Her face gone beyond recognition
I really did feel grand
But than a feeling of regret
Suddenly began to swell
Why couldn't your mother have been here too
I could have push her as well
