Rainy DayA Poem by KThis was written for an assignment where we based a poem on the first line of a Dorianne Laux poem, mine being, 'I'm remembering again, the day'.
Im remembering again, the day
it rained, a blurring, static rain. The same rain that falls each year, eroding your aging skin. And instead of huddling under our umbrellas, we spun them around, glad to feel the tears fall across our cheeks. Pleased to be young again. © 2008 K |
