Sweet DreamsA Poem by KThis is a revision on a piece I submitted earlier.
Wrapped in cerulean silk,
she rules the sky. Fluttering about. Her hair trailing behind in flowing streams. Her quivering touch moves me as she reaches into my mind. Softly and innocently, she gazes down at me. Asleep beneath her, my inspirations are at her command. I glow with the warm visions she projects into my head. She sings to me melodies of raindrops and flowers as we dance about the air. The fog closes in around us. Shadows emerge from all corners of my thoughts. She cackles and becomes all my fears. With the wind, she transforms into my failures and faults. With a swift kick, she snaps my neck. Fallen trust turns to dust and scatters around my dead, naked body. © 2008 KReviews
