Floating Wishes

Just floating in the breeze....

Dandelion, dandelion

Keeper of wishes

And guardian of dreams

Please look on me with mercy

And grant my pleas

 

Tiny wisps of cotton

Gossamer in the wind

Those tiny seeds

Carriers of dreams

Float on the breeze

As I free them from your grasp

And whisper quietly

 

I wish, I wish

With all my heart

Please make my wish come true

 

My words become life

To those little seeds

Granting them freedom

A chance to grow

In this harsh world

And in return

They give me my wish

The same chance I gave them

 

Days go by and more of you sprout

My wishes growing on the lawn

My dreams floating through the air

And without thought

I pluck more of you and keep wishing

 

Dandelion, dandelion

Keeper of wishes

Guide my wandering wishes

And drifting dreams

As they float in the wind alongside thee

Wow this is amazing, wishes. I like the "Dandelion, dandelion", and "I wish, I wish", it's melodious. Oh, also: "As they float in the wind alongside thee". That's my favorite line.
