Too Late

Too Late

A Poem by GamingGal
"

Just when you think things are okay...

"
I thought I was over her
I thought the hurt was gone
Why is it coming back?
Why is it coming back?
I didn't ask for this
I'm drowning in fear
Of falling back down
Falling for her
Someone throw me a line
Throw me a rope
Pull me back to shore
Pull me back to safety
Someone, please, quick!
Because I think it's too late
The water is flooding my lungs
Those tears I've cried alone
While remembering her touch
Her smile
Her affection
Are spilling out with a vengeance
Killing me slowly
Bringing back memories
Making me wish again
On the clock and on the dot
For time to reverse itself
Hit rewind then pause
On us
Someone, please, quick!
Save me before it's too late
Why is this coming back?
It's too late for me
